Sunday Selfie 01 : Mia

Hi Everyone! I am participating in my first Sunday Selfie Blog Hop hosted by The Cat on My Head. It's my first post so I hope I'm doing this right. For this week I want to introduce you to my lovely gal Mia who is 20 years old and you can see Coral who is 16 in the back. Mia is such a sweetie, purr machine, and lap kitty. Triple Threat! Mia and Coral lived together for about 15 years with an older woman who needed to move across the country and they found themselves at We Care Animal Rescue for about half a year. They were not advertised as a bonded pair but I beg to differ, both came home with me that day!

Mia spends most of her time on my bed, but don't let her age fool you, she is quite nimble and still occasional gets the zoomies! I've woken up to her running up and down my bed dashing past my head. She gets excited when I come back and meows which is the cutest thing (though her voice is mostly gone so her "voice" is very very tiny). She does have Stage II CKD and I do give her Sub-Q Fluids which you can see in the back of the photo. She doesn't like it much, will tolerate it but sometimes she will run off so fast before you can even say "Where did Mia go?!"

She absolutely loves headbutts and will not take no for an answer. She climbs up close to you and give you little wet nose kisses while purring loudly
